Monitoring the FM allows
users to continuously check the operational and performance status of the membrane system and detect the development of any
membrane fouling, scaling or deterioration trends long before adverse symptoms become significant and visible at the plant,
resulting in irreversible loss in performance characteristics.
This translates into significant reduction in plant down time, maintenance and operating costs
while assuring that plant produces the design quantity and quality of water with maximum operational efficiency and
availability.
Main System Functionality:
MASAR®
system works for all RO/NF/UF/MF plants operating with any feed water source (brackish, high brackish, wastewater and
seawater), any brine-staging (1-3 stages), any membrane type (spiral, hollow-fine-fiber, flat), material (polyamide, CA),
manufacture and configuration (accepts different number of membrane cartridges per pressure vessel for every operating point
if applicable).
MASAR®Plus, a specially-designed version of the software system, handles double
-pass product-staging applications especially for dirty source waters or ultra-pure applications.
MASAR® does not require the collection of any
additional operating data other than is normally collected in the plant. The system operates on-line; it does not require
any system shutdown or maintenance.
